Kimberly Joseph

She is an Award-Winning Filmmaker.
Based in the Los Angeles area, she is a Storyteller, Visual Artist, and Producer committed to increasing diversity in media.

     Kimberly Joseph is a dynamic writer, director, and producer with a passion for creating worlds centered around complex women in the dramedy, sci-fi, and fantasy genres. Born in the paradise of St. Thomas and raised in the capital of crab (aka Maryland), she grew up as a first-generation American. Her production experience spans the DC

and Baltimore areas, where she contributed to projects such as Jack Ryan, Lady in the Lake, and We Own This City. She has served as a screener and programmer for several film festivals as well as an independent film producer and director.

      Kimberly later moved to Los Angeles to attend the University of Southern California, where she earned her MFA from the prestigious Peter Stark Producing Program. As a George Lucas Family Foundation Fellow and recipient of the USC School of Cinematic Arts Council Award for Outstanding Work in DEI, Kimberly is committed to diversifying the media landscape and challenging societal norms around race and gender through her work.
